Meetings June 17, 2008 Beuaty Contest and Business Night Beauty contest night. Members bring their favorites and then vote on the "prettiest." Don't care about seam lines, fingerprints, alignment...All we want to know is how cool it is! John Mueller won fairly handily with his 12 pounder! Clearly, Fred Amos was trying to show how the same kit can be built many times and lessons learned and new schemes applied. Doug Barton and Mike McShea discussed rigging aerials and biplanes. Neither of us is an expert, but a good round table discussion of the merits of several materials and methods was had. There was quite a bit of business discussed. Just a reminder, we're looking for sponsors for the club contest in September. We will also be putting together a display for the library in August. Fred will need donations to display. This is a fairly large cabinet we're in, so don't be afraid to bring good stuff. Our usual silent auction was held and as usual, the members had a great time. On to the Pics! I'll confess that since moving to our new facility, my photos have not been of the usual caliber. I still have not adjusted to the lighting and I have been rushed at most meetings. Photos of all entries are submitted below. Click on the thumbnail to see a larger photo, click on photo to close I do not claim to be an expert.
